Mostly transported in bulk by a big hauler that empties containers used to collect the textiles. This stream will contain non-textiles or wet and dirty textiles. Most of the heavy lifting by humans is done in this area. Opening plastic bags, removing duvets and non-textiles, sorting out wet and dirty stuff, the work is not too pleasant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are researching new approaches to this handling. Trying to use principle from other branches of waste handling like bag openers from plastic recycling. Trying out sensors and AI to find wet and dirty textiles. Using cobots to handle the objects in the stream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the end of the proces we hop to have sorted out a stream of dry and clean textile objects.
